Curved Folding

foldable=makable

There are quite a few ideas for this workshop, so the ideas that get the most investigation from people in this group will end up being the focus of the workshop. Here's a few ideas:

1. Bending and twisting developable strips with limited control points.
2. Reactive rulings in flat plate linkages.
3. Calibrating the simulation environment with real world physical properties.
4. Crumpling.

Tell me more!!!

The topics has been decided for the first workshop: parametric solar shading facade element. OK, so everyone has designed these - but the point is these can be manufactured as well, using RoboFold. So you can have a beautiful organically designed component, which varies across a curved facade, and it can exist in the real world and not just a rendering - great!
