Hi, I thought I'd share my experience trying to run Freeform Origami on Linux with WINE, the Windows compatibility layer, since there is no Linux build and I use Linux.
I'm using Wine (1.3.14 / 1.2.2 / 1.0.1 -- all with the same results) on Kubuntu 10.04 x64.
The good news is that the program launches as normal and opening the example DXF file works. The interface works perfectly; one can change the constraints, move vertices, etc. Saving a DXF or OBJ file also works.
The bad news is that if one tries to open an OBJ file, then the program crashes with a message like the following:
wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x000000be at address 0x41d33b (thread 0009), starting debugger..
So, there is either a problem with WINE or a problem with Freeform Origami or both, but I don't know enough to point to which it is. In any case, it seems that Freeform Origami unfortunately does not work with Wine in Linux.
